Every Flexx theme is designed to be customized without touching code. The WordPress Customizer gives you real-time control over your site's appearance with instant visual feedback.
Color Customization
Your brand colors set the visual tone for your entire website. Flexx themes provide granular color controls that let you adjust:
- Primary color - Used for headings, buttons, and key interactive elements
- Accent color - Applied to hover states, links, and secondary highlights
- Background colors - Separate controls for page, header, and footer backgrounds
- Text colors - Body text, heading text, and caption text colors
All color selections include contrast ratio indicators so you can maintain WCAG accessibility compliance while matching your brand palette.
Typography Controls
Typography is one of the most impactful design choices for any website. Flexx themes include:
- Google Fonts integration with over 1,400 font families available
- Separate heading and body font selections for typographic contrast
- Font size scaling with responsive adjustments for mobile readability
- Line height and letter spacing fine-tuning for optimal readability
We recommend pairing a serif heading font with a sans-serif body font (or vice versa) for visual interest. The Customizer preview updates in real time so you can evaluate combinations before committing.
Layout Options
Flexx themes offer flexible layout configurations to suit different content structures:
- Full-width or boxed content area
- Left, right, or no sidebar for blog and archive pages
- Header layouts including centered logo, left-aligned logo, and transparent overlay
- Footer column configurations from one to four columns
Homepage Sections
The homepage is fully modular. Enable or disable sections, reorder them, and configure their content through the Customizer. Available sections typically include hero slider, feature highlights, recent posts, testimonials, team members, call-to-action banners, and partner logos. Each section includes its own set of customization options for content, layout, and styling.
Custom CSS
For adjustments beyond what the Customizer panels offer, WordPress includes a built-in Additional CSS editor at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. This is the recommended place for minor style overrides. For more extensive customizations, consider creating a child theme to keep your changes organized and update-safe.
Import and Export Settings
Flexx themes support exporting your Customizer settings to a file that can be imported on another installation. This is useful when migrating between hosting environments or setting up multiple sites with similar configurations. The export file includes all Customizer settings, widget configurations, and menu assignments.
